Strawberry & Mango Protein Bowl

Smoothie bowls take over my diet in the summers and always at the top, is this strawberry and mango protein bowl. Usually, I make the two on its own... but I was craving both and decided to combine them. It's really delicious and easy to make. AND the added protein + collagen boost make this perfect for a post-workout snack/meal!

Servings: 2

Prep Time: < 5 minutes

Cook Time: < 5 minutes

Ingredients:

Strawberry Smoothie

  1. 1 cup || Frozen Strawberry

  2. 1 scoop || Vanilla Whey Protein Powder

  3. 1/2 Frozen Banana

  4. 1/4 cup || Oat milk (any milk of choice)

Mango Smoothie

  1. 1 cup || Frozen Mango

  2. 1/2 cup || Greek Yogurt

  3. 1/2 tsp || Vanilla Extract

  4. 1 tbsp || Honey

Optional

  1. 0.35 oz (10 g) || Collagen Peptide (unflavored) *note: I used 1 stick of the Vital Proteins Collagen Stick (equivalent to 2 scoops)

Instructions

  1. Add the smoothie ingredients to a blender and blend until thick, creamy, and smooth *note: If you would rather drink your smoothie or prefer it less thick, substitute the greek yogurt with your milk of choice (ie: oat/almond/whole/soy)

  2. Pour out into a bowl and after giving your blender a quick rinse, add the smoothie ingredients of your second half and repeat step 1. *note: Put the bowl with your first smoothie half in the freezer while you blend up the rest! This prevents melting and leaves you with a better texture.

  3. Top with fruits or granola of choice I like to top mine with any choice of nuts (I chose pistachio for this one) goji, hemp, pumpkin seeds, and homemade granola!

  4. Enjoy!

*Tips on making a thick bowl*

  1. Add the "liquids" to the blender first *note: In this recipe, add the lemon juice, greek yogurt, vanilla extract, and maple syrup first

  2. Add the frozen fruits next

  3. Add the powders last
